JPSO investigating homicide in Terrytown

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department is investigating a homicide in Terrytown.

The homicide happened Tuesday on 300 Ruby Street, according to JPSO.

According to our partners at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, around 8 a.m. deputies were investigating a maroon Dodge Ram 1500 at the corner of Ruby and Friedrichs Road.

The body of a man, who appeared to be the driver, was found on the ground next to the truck, according to the report.

According to Public Information Officer Jason Rivarde, Sheriff Joseph Lopinto said the Hispanic, 37-year-old victim was found under a pickup truck.  Lopinto confirmed that the victim was suffered from a single gunshot wound to the head.  He was pronounced dead on scene.
