NOPD searching for two women in connection with hit-and-run, vehicle theft

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is trying to identify two unknown females they believe are responsible for a vehicle theft and a hit-and-run crash that occurred on in the 2700 block of Magazine St.

At about 7:21 a.m. on Friday, the two women entered the victim's unlocked vehicle, police said.

The subjects started the vehicle and fled south on Washington Ave. for approximately one block before hitting several parked vehicles in the 1000 block of Washington Ave.

The subjects then left the victim's vehicle and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
