NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The only ice skating rink in the Crescent City opens today as NOLA Christmas Fest gets underway.
The annual tradition in the Morial Convention Center gives families a chance to dive into a winter wonderland in the heart of New Orleans.
The festival costs $20 to enter and visitors can get a $5 discount if they bring a Coke product. Tickets include ice skating, the ice slide, inflatables, and carnival rides.
This year organizers increased the size of the ice rink and added a second slide to accommodate families and visitors.
The Christmas Fest will be open until New Year's Eve from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Christmas Day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
