Officials issue boil water advisory for parts of Lafourche Parish

LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Lafourche Parish officials have issued a boil water advisory for parts of the parish. The advisory was issued due to low water pressure which is a result of winter weather conditions.

The advisory affects the following areas:

-The St. Charles and Raceland communities
 (from the Lafourche Crossing south to Danos Street along Highway 1 (South Coast Gas Office))
 (from the Lafourche Crossing south to the Old Exxon Pipeline Facility along Highway 308

-All areas along Highway 182

-The entire community of Bayou Blue

-All South Lafourche communities from the Intercoastal Canal in Larose south to the Parish Line.

In addition, officials are urging residents to conserve water until further notice.
