$5,000 reward offered in fatal shooting of 18-year-old Reserve man

RESERVE, LA (WVUE) - St. John Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said a $5,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case of an 18-year-old man found shot to death in a ditch.

The body was discovered on Saturday around 11:50 a.m. at East 27th St. and Farlough St. in Reserve.

The victim was identified as Colay McCovery. He suffered several gunshot wounds to the body.
