NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection to a burglary at Italian Pie in the 4700 block of Paris Avenue.

Surveillance video caught a burglar slipping into the restaurant through an unlocked side door.

The suspect is seen stealing cash, as well as office paperwork Monday night , according to a report by our partners | The Times-Picayune.

According to the report, the restaurant's side door was left unlocked about 9 p.m. The next morning, the eatery's general manager returned to find the business had been ransacked, with paperwork and cash stolen.

A review of surveillance video showed the burglar enter through the side door, walk into an office and take some items, and then leave through the same door, according to the report.

Police released three surveillance videos, including one that captures the scene in the restaurant's office.
