LSU falls to Georgia, drops fifth-consecutive road game

(WVUE) - LSU was looking to put a stop to its road losing streak, Saturday, but the Tigers came up short, falling to Georgia, 93-82.  The loss marks the Tigers' fifth-consecutive road defeat.

The Tigers (16-12, 7-9) were led by Tremont Waters who had 25 points. Skylar Mays posted 20 points and six rebounds, and Daryl Edwards tallied 11 points. Waters, Mays and Edwards were the lone Tigers to score in double-digits.

Yante Maten led the Bulldogs (16-12, 7-9), by recording a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds to go along with six steals, all game-highs.

LSU returns to action, Wednesday, at South Carolina, in the final road contest of the regular season. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
