NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The Humane Society of Louisiana is offering a reward for the safe return of a puppy stolen at gunpoint.

New Orleans Police say a 9-week-old pit bull puppy named Angel was taken from her owner during an armed robbery last month. It happened as the victim was walking his dog in the 2000 block of Tulane Avenue. The suspect was riding a dark colored bike with black rims.

"We desperately want it back safe and sound to its owner and we are offering a $500 reward, no questions asked, just return it. Otherwise, we're going to keep asking the community to turn whoever did it in so we can act on it," said Humane Society of Louisiana Director, Jeff Dorson.

To arrange the return of Angel or to report where she is, you are asked to call the Humane Society of Louisiana at 1-888-6-HUMANE. Or, you can email them at
