(WVUE) - The Saints will not place a tender on restricted free agent cornerback Delvin Breaux, a source confirmed to FOX 8 sports. Breaux will become a free agent on Wednesday. The lowest tender amount is $1.9 million.
Breaux had a stellar 2015 when he signed with the team from the CFL. However, his last two seasons have been riddled with injuries. During training camp last season, a misdiagnosis of his broken fibula cost two Saints' doctors their jobs.
There's still a chance the Saints could bring him back at a lower rate but sources say Breaux will test the market and should have some potential suitors.
