Several groups announcing lawsuit against council over Entergy gas plant

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Several groups plan to announce a lawsuit against the New Orleans City Council Thursday over its handling of a vote to let Entergy build a New Orleans East gas plant.

The groups claim the council's utilities committee and city council violated open meetings laws in February and March.
The suit claims about 100 people were kept from the public meetings.
The plant will be built on the site of the old Michoud Power Plant.
