NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A Central City convenience store was robbed of about $900 in one of two New Orleans holdups logged in six hours, according to a report by our partners NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.
A robbery was reported Friday around 10:00 p.m. at the Fast Stop store in the 2700 block of Broad Street.
According to the report, one man entered the business while another stood as a lookout with the door open. One of the accused robbers took two cash registers containing about $900 before both suspects fled.
The second robbery was reported around 4:16 a.m. in the 1600 block of St. Ann Street in Treme.
According to the report, a 41-year-old man said he was approached by a group demanding his property.
One of the suspects said he had a gun and struck the victim several times in the face.
The suspects stole the victim's belongings and fled, according to the report.
