NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating a traffic fatality that left a male pedestrian dead. Officers were called to the scene Sunday at 5:35 a.m. near the intersection of Loyola Avenue and Lafayette Street.
According to police, responding officers found the middle-aged male victim, who is believed to be homeless, lying in the street. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the man was taken into custody for questioning but no charges were filed.
