NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police arrested a 14-year-old boy following an investigation into an armed robbery that occurred on April 18.
It happened near the intersection of Morrison Rd. and Marywood Ct.
The juvenile approached the victim as she was getting off the bus returning home from work, pointed a silver revolver at the victim and demanded her property, police said.
The subject then struck the victim on the head with the gun and took the victim's property. The subject fled the scene and entered the passenger side of a blue Toyota Sienna that was stolen earlier that day from the 1000 block of North Johnson St.
During the investigation, officers positively identified the juvenile as the perpetrator in this incident.
He was arrested on April 19 wearing the same clothing he had on while stealing the vehicle used in the armed robbery, police said. The individual was transported to the to juvenile jail.
