NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help locating four people wanted in connection with an armed robbery on April 21.

The robbery happened just before 4 a.m. in the 1900 block of St. Ann Street.

According to police, the victim was being accompanied by one of the suspects to his vehicle after the victim told the suspect that he was scared of the neighborhood.

The suspect then lured the victim to a laundromat in the 1900 block of St. Ann St. where he was accosted by several more black males and a transgender female. One of the men stated that he had a gun and demanded the victim's property.

The victim told police that he attempted to fight back but was struck in the face and body by the transgender female. The suspects made off with the victim's watch and wallet.

Police say the suspects were later captured on surveillance video attempting to use the victim's debit card at an ATM but they were unsuccessful.

Anyone with any information about the incident or the whereabouts of any of the suspects are asked to contact NOPD First District Detectives at (504) 658-6010 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
