NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans Mayor- Elect Latoya Cantrell was presented with her transition report by her leadership team Thursday.
Cantrell explained some of the recommendations in the plan, focusing on the Sewerage & Water Board, transportation, and infrastructure improvements.
This comes one day after she announced her public safety department heads, while going back on a campaign promise.
The plan is 137 pages long.
Cantrell had said she would launch a national search for a possible new police chief, but yesterday announced that didn't happen.
instead the current police chief Michael Harrison would stay on the job.
She said holding on to the current police and fire chiefs was the best option.
FOX 8 will provide live coverage of Cantrell's inauguration ceremony on-air and online Monday at 10 a.m.
