PLAQUEMINES PARISH, LA (WVUE) - The U.S. Coast Guard says they have suspended the search for a man missing since Wednesday's boating accident in Plaquemines Parish.

The missing man, identified as 85-year-old Reverend Donald Tabb, was headed out to fish near Port Eads and the South Pass with two friends when a large wave caused their 27-foot boat to capsize.

One of the boaters managed to swim to safety. The third boater drowned.

The Coast Guard's search for Tabb lasted for more than two days before the search was called off Friday afternoon. Crews fear that Tabb may have been swept out to sea.

Tabb founded LSU's The Chapel on the campus in 1972 and led the church until 2001.
