NOPD: Group of men steal victim’s cell phone after asking to see it

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department says a man was robbed of his cell phone at gunpoint Saturday night in New Orleans East.

Police say the robbery happened at approximately 9 p.m. in the 13600 block of North Nemours Street.

According to the victim, he was approached by three unknown black males who asked if they could see his cell phone. The victim gave the men his phone and when he attempted to get the phone back, one of the males pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim. The suspect told the victim that he was keeping his phone before all three males fled the scene.
