Identity of man fatally shot on Mother's Day, released

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Coroner's Office has released the identity of the man who was shot and killed in Gentilly on Mother's Day.

Herbert Foster, 35, was pronounced dead on the scene following Sunday's shooting in the 1400 block of Lafreniere Street. The shooting also left a 15-year-old female injured after she suffered a graze wound. She was transported to Children's Hospital for treatment.
