BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) - A founder of the Cajun Navy is accused of contracting fraud.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said a victim of the 2016 floods hired Jon Bridgers to rebuild his home.

The victim claimed he paid Bridgers more than $50,000 over the next few months, but then he never finished the job.

Bridgers said he had communication issues with the victim, and had warned the project could take a long time.
