Deep tropical moisture over the Caribbean will move into the Gulf of Mexico this week.

The National Hurricane Center is giving the system a 20 percent chance for development in the next five days.

Whether the system develops or not, our weekend rain chance will depend on where the system tracks.

Right now, the GFS (American Model) has the system staying east of us and keeping us drier. The European model brings it closer to us, which would increase storm chances for the weekend.

Stay tuned!
