Pair wanted for robbing Mid City gas station

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are searching for two subjects wanted for an armed robbery that occurred at a Mid City gas station. The robbery took place Saturday around 10:55 p.m. in the 4700 block of Canal Street.

According to police, surveillance cameras captured images of the two individuals walking into the store, pointing a gun at the cashier and demanding money. Both individuals were wearing masks to cover the bottom halves of their faces.

One of the subjects went behind the counter and grabbed the cash register before taking the victim's purse containing her driver's license. The suspect also took several packs of cigarettes. Both individuals then fled the scene, going eastbound on North St. Patrick Street.

The first suspect is described as a skinny black man who is 5'10" tall. He was wearing a gray and black hoodie and stone-washed jeans. The second suspect is described as a black man with a medium build. He is 5'7" tall and was wearing a black and red coat and stone-washed jeans.
