METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) - Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputies make an arrest in the robbery of a frozen yogurt store in Metairie. Authorities took 40-year-old Metairie resident David Kaufman into custody, Tuesday.

Police say that he is responsible for robbing the TCBY store in the 700 block of Metairie Road on Thursday around 2:30 p.m. Kaufman walked into the business before pulling out a knife, threatening the store clerk and leaving the business with a small amount of cash.

Authorities were led to Kaufman due to an anonymous tip to Crimestoppers. The person who provided the tip, recognized Kaufman after surveillance photos were released Tuesday.

Police located Kaufman who confessed to robbing the store. He was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery.
