SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - Two New Orleans men have been charged after a man trying to sell a smart phone accused them of armed robbery.
According to St. Tammany investigators, the incident happened Tuesday in the parking lot of a Slidell gas station.
Shortly after noon, a man reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint after he arranged to meet the two men in a gas station parking lot to sell them a smart phone.
Immediately following the robbery, the perpetrators fled the scene in their vehicle, according to the report.
At 12:30 p.m., STPSO Criminal Patrol deputies located the suspects' vehicle on I-10 West and took both of them into custody.
Lionel Hardy and Devante Washington were subsequently booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on armed robbery charges.
