NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A new audit raises safety concerns over Louisiana's youth prisons.

A review from the legislative auditor's office claims high employee turnover has made it difficult for the Office of Juvenile Justice to properly monitor youth lock-ups known as secure care facilities.

The Bridge City facility has a turnover rate that tops 62 percent.

The Office of Juvenile Justice said it is working to enact the auditor's improvement recommendations.
