Parish president addressing Mid Barataria sediment project
The State of Louisiana has threatened to sue Plaquemines Parish over the largest coastal restoration project in history.

PLAQUEMINES PARISH, LA (WVUE) - A dispute over a sediment diversion project in Plaquemines Parish that fishermen say would hurt their livelihood will be addressed Wednesday.

Parish President Amos cormier will address the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority Board in Baton Rouge.

According to our partners NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, the board threatened legal action if the Plaquemines Parish Council continued to block soil borings needed for the Mid-Barataria sediment Diversion Project near Myrtle Grove.
