N.O. area renters face challenge
Attorney general Jeff Landry hopes a brochure helps landlords and tenants understand laws that impact them.

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - According to the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, to rent a modest two-bedroom apartment in New Orleans you have to make almost $20 an hour.

A New Orleans Neighborhood Development Foundation representative says rent should be about 30 percent of your total budget.

The National Low-Income Housing Coalition notes 60 percent of New Orleans renters pay too much.
