NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department says two men were stabbed on Bourbon Street after a man's drink was accidentally knocked over.
According to police, a man was inside of a business in the 200 block of Bourbon St. around 3:45 a.m. Saturday when his drink was accidentally knocked over. The man, identified by police as 36-year-old Gomes-Taylor Dumar, became irate. One of the customers pushed Dumar down and left the business.
When Dumar got up, he pulled out a knife and cut the first man. Dumar then walked to a business next door and stabbed victim a second man.
Both of the victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Dumar was later arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a knife.
