(WVUE) - John Ehret possesses experience all over the field, on both sides of the ball. Including a returning starter at the most important position on the field, quarterback. Travis Mumphrey enters his fourth year under center for the Patriots this fall.

"The first thing that jumps out is the experience. I think he has the temperament to be a leader of not only the older kids, but the young kids basically kind of showing them how we supposed to operate on a day-to-day basis. How you prepare for practices, and how you prepare for games," said Ehret Head Coach Marcus Scott.

Mumphrey has a ton of experience, and doesn't lack for confidence either.

"The will to win. I'm always ready to win. I never want to lose. I fell like I can never be beat. Any time of the game, we can be down 20-0, I feel like we can overcome obstacle and get through," said Mumphrey.

He and the Patriots made it to the Dome his freshman year. Now in his senior year, it's time to take care of some unfinished business.

"My first year we went to the Dome. My second year we went to the third round. My third year we went to third round again. This year we're trying to make it to the Dome, that's my main goal. Just getting these guys to the Dome, because it's my last year, got to go out with a bang," said Mumphrey.
