JPSO: Two people injured following stabbing in Metairie

METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) - Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a stabbing in Metairie that left two people injured. Deputies were called to the scene Tuesday evening in the 3700 block of Terrie Court.

The victims are identified as a man and a woman. One of the victims is reportedly listed with serious injuries and the other has non-life threatening injuries.

Police say that the stabbing stemmed from a dispute between the suspect and her tenant in the neighborhood. The landlord tried to evict the tenant, who went to talk about the eviction to two friends who live nearby. The friends confronted the landlord about the eviction, before a fight broke out between the landlord and the friends of the tenant. The landlord stabbed both of the victims. The female victim was reportedly stabbed in the throat and the male in the stomach. The landlord was taken into custody.
