NOPD investigating two overnight shootings with injuries

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is investigating two shootings Thursday.

The first shooting was at the intersection of Dwyer Road and Bundy Road.

NOPD responded to a medical call around 10:30 p.m., but the incident was later confirmed as a shooting.

According to the report, a man was found with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. The man was transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment.

The second shooting was reported in the 2200 block of North Roman Street.

NOPD responded to the shooting around 12:28 a.m.

A man was found lying on the sidewalk suffering apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the head, arm and chest, according to the report. The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
