St. Tammany Parish under 'High Fire Danger' warning
ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - St. Tammany Parish is under a "high fire danger" warning.
State forestry officials said the hot weather and limited rainfall has set the stage for fires that can get out of control quickly.
St Tammany is the only parish in the region under the high fire danger classification, but a number of north Louisiana parishes are also at risk.
The parish is not under a burn ban at this point.
