NOPD: Man killed after crashing vehicle into two Algiers homes

ALGIERS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans Police say a man is dead after his vehicle crashed into two homes in Algiers early Saturday morning.
The crash happened just before 4 a.m. in the 1400 block of Kabel Drive.
According to police, the driver was traveling northbound on Kabel Dr. when for unknown reasons his vehicle left the roadway and struck two homes. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Police say the investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
The name of the driver is being withheld pending family notification and the completion of an autopsy. The Orleans Parish Coroners Office will release the victim's name along with an official cause of death.
