(WVUE) - The Pelicans opened their summer league campaign with a 90-77 victory over the Raptors, but it came with an injury price. Guard Frank Jackson racked up 13 points and six rebounds, but left the contest with a left ankle injury.
"I would think no chance of him playing tomorrow (against the Miami Heat)," Pelicans Summer League coach Kevin Hanson told the the Times-Picayune. "Hopefully, by Monday (he'll be back). He rolled it pretty good.
Jackson missed his rookie season after accumulating three surgeries on his right foot.
Trevon Bluiett had a game-high 24 points for the Pelicans. Cheick Diallo also chipped in with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
