NOPD: Man robbed while sitting inside vehicle in Treme

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans Police say a man was robbed at gunpoint while sitting inside of his vehicle overnight in Treme.

According to the victim, he was sitting inside of his vehicle talking to a female in the 1000 block of North Roman Street around 12:15 a.m. After the woman walked off, the victim was approached by an unknown male armed with a gun. The suspect pointed the gun at the victim and demanded that he hand over all of his property. The victim complied and handed over his cell phone, his car key and cash. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
