NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Two children who were kidnapped over the weekend have been returned to their mothers, according to NOPD.
The four-year-old and eight-year-old were with Denisha Hilton and Denise Hilton, two sisters who were supposed to be baby sitting them.
Denisha Hilton, 25, and Denise Hilton, 24, are both wanted on three counts of simple kidnapping that happened Friday in the 5100 block of Douglas Street involving three juveniles.
According to the report, the victim told police she dropped her 4-year-old juvenile daughter off to her 15-year-old juvenile sister for child care while she worked for the evening.
At the time of the drop off, the 15-year-old sister was being supervised by the victim's other sister, identified as Denisha Hilton.
The victim had agreed to pick up her child the next morning, July 7, at 9 a.m.
According to the report, the victim told police that on July 7, she reached out to the 15-year-old sister to arrange a time to pickup her daughter.
The victim said she was told that Denisha Hilton and her other sister, identified as Denise Hilton, would bring her daughter to her once they finished running errands for the day.
Since the conversation, the victim has not heard from the 15-year-old sister who was babysitting.
When the victim was able to reach Denisha and Denise Hilton, they allegedly said that they were not returning her daughter at the moment and would not disclose the child's location, but said that the child was safe, NOPD said.
The 15-year-old is still believed to be with Denisha and Denise, according to police.
