The air went out in a of couple rooms at the Plaquemines Parish Animal Shelter, and on Wednesday two kittens were found dead. Then the AC went out in the entire building, which is what's causing such a need for help.

People are urged to drop off fans or ice or – even better – to foster or adopt an animal.

The shelter opens Thursday at 7 a.m. You can reach them at (504) 393-0215 or the Animal Welfare Center at (504) 392-1601.
