Vehicle drives off fourth floor parking garage, one man injured
NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans Police say a vehicle drove off the fourth floor of a parking garage in the Central Business District Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of O'Keefe Street and Girod Street.
According to witnesses, a valet driver operating the vehicle for unknown reasons drove a silver Mercedes SUV off of the fourth floor of the parking garage and landed on the street below on its roof.
Several people passing by the scene assisted the driver by flipping the vehicle over and pulling him out of the vehicle.
One person was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
Traffic in the area is currently being diverted from the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
