NOPD: Suspect wanted for attacking man with a machete
NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a suspect accused of attacking a man with a machete in Central City.
Police say the incident happened just after 2 p.m. in the 2000 block of St. Andrew Street.
According to the victim, a man came to the location carrying a machete. When the victim and his friends attempted to make the suspect leave the location, the suspect swung the machete and struck the victim.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where his condition is currently unknown.
Police are searching for 22-year-old Kevin Parker.
Parker is described as being 5'11" and weighs approximately 146 pounds. He was last seen wearing khaki brown pants, a black Jimmy Johns shirt and a black hat.
