HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - The Houma Police Department is investigating a homicide at 105 Senator Circle.

Police arrived to the scene around 7 p.m. Thursday where they found a victim with a shot to the torso. The victim was taken to an area hospital.

Investigations revealed that Kyalnd Ezell, 33, was responsible, according to the police report.

The report said Ezell arrived at the residence where an altercation ensued.

Police said Ezell pulled a weapon and shot the victim. He then fled the scene, according to the report.

During the investigation. Houma Police received information that the victim died at the hospital.

Detectives secured arrest warrants for Ezell on 2nd degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charges.
