Who Dat Nation confident about Saints season on first day of Fan Fest

METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) - Saints season is here and players are training hard.

The heat didn't stop fans from packing the bleachers to watch the first open training of the season.

"I'm really pumped to be out here. It's hot, but it's worth it," Saints fan Colin MacIver said.

Dedicated fans came out bright and early this morning to watch their favorite players.

"P.J. Williams and Marcus Williams and my man Alvin Kamara," Michael Wright said.

"Lattimore. Marshon Lattimore and I really want to see J.T. Barrett, but definitely Marshon Lattimore. He's my favorite player," Denzel Terrance said.

Some say they've waited all year for this.

"Sometimes you see some really excellent plays. You see some great catches, and then you get some people get blown up," Nicoya Wade said.

For others, this is a first-time experience.

"This is our first time out here actually. The last saints event I was at, I was in Minnesota when my heart broke in half. But I'm here to reignite a light of like, Who Dat hope," MacIver said.

Many believe the Saints will go all the way.

"This is our year. I think we've been cut and made for this year. This is our Super Bowl year so I'm going to see you in the Super Bowl this year, I guarantee," Michael Henderson said.

"I'm feeling extremely positive, especially considering what happened last season. and I'm not upset about how the season ended. I think that was actually a good moment for us. I think we can really bounce back from that," Wade said.
