Looking for a break from the oppressive heat? It comes this week in the form of more stormy weather that will keep temperatures slightly below average. Expect highs in the upper 80s to near 90 each day with daily storm chances.
Late Tuesday and early Wednesday will likely be the wettest time period with some heavy storms that could lead to localized street flooding. Thursday and Friday may be slightly drier and warmer than the early part of the week, but afternoon pop ups are still likely.
Over the weekend, high pressure will try to build in from the east increasing temperatures but still allowing for daily storms.
There are no tropical systems threatening the Gulf of Mexico at this time.
