The Saints released veteran wide receiver Brandon Coleman with a failed physical designation, according to a tweet by ESPN's Field Yates.
Coleman opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list (PUP). Coleman suffered a neck injury in the playoffs last season.
Coleman was an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers in 2014. Coleman had played a key role for the Saints the past three seasons, and established himself as the team's best run-blocking receiver.
Before his release, he was the seventh-most tenured Saint on the roster.
