NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Mayor Latoya Cantrell signed an executive order requiring more transparency in the budget process.

According to our partners at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, it will require monthly reports from the city's chief budget officer to the city council about the budget outlook.

It would also increase the number of revenue estimating conference meetings, which monitors revenue streams from sales taxes, parking ticket fines and short term rental taxes and fees.
