(WVUE) - Storm coverage will increase today and remain above average through Saturday. Sunday will still see passing showers or storms but fewer. Don't expect an all-day washout, but there will be times of heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. Locally heavy rain could cause some street flooding in spots.

Highs today and over the weekend will top out in the upper 80s and low 90s as a result of the extra cloud cover and rain around.

The coverage of storms will return to more typical spotty levels for next week. It will also turn hotter with highs into the lower and even middle 90s.

There is a disturbance in The Atlantic. It is located about midway between Africa and the Lesser Antilles. It has about a 10 to 20 percent chance of development, which is very low.
