Man shot in New Orleans East drives to gas station, asks for help

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating a Sunday night shooting in New Orleans East.

Police said the shooting occurred at the intersection of Dwyer Road and Wilson Avenue. The victim then drove to a gas station in the 4900 block of Downman Road and told the cashier he had been shot. Officers said there were several bullet holes in the victim's vehicle.

The victim was taken to the hospital by EMS. His condition is not known.
