As high pressure gets stronger over the area, rain chances will be limited for the beginning of the week. That means temperatures will reach the mid 90s during the afternoon. The heat index may exceed 105 at times.
By the end of the week, the high will weaken some and moisture will increase. This will allow for more scattered showers and storms Thursday and Friday. Highs will return to near average in the low 90s.
Little change is expected by next weekend with some spotty storms each day and highs in the low 90s.
The tropics remain quiet.
