NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Multiple fire crews rushed to the Union Passenger train terminal Tuesday morning after smoldering debris fell from a structure in the station.
According to Amtrak, Crescent train 20, a train that operates daily between New York, Atlanta, and New Orleans, was delayed for 24 minutes in New Orleans.
Amtrak said debris that was smoldering fell from a temporary structure related to station construction.
The New Orleans Fire Department removed the debris.
According to Amtrak, there were no injuries to crew or passengers.
The scene has been cleared.
