Morning Call filed a suit last month after City Park was awarded Cafe Du Monde the lease to operate in City Park.

City Park Officials said that although Morning Call submitted the highest bid for the 10 year lease, they were disqualified after not attending a mandatory pre-bid meeting.

The judge ruled that Morning Call's failure to arrive at the meeting was not grounds for disqualification from the bidding process. It was also ruled and the bidding process and the lease awarded to Cafe Du Monde are nullified.

City Park released a brief statement following the ruling saying, "Regarding the court ruling involving Morning Call, the park has no comment at this time."
