New lawsuits filed over foul odors from JP landfill

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - River Ridge and Harahan residents filed three new lawsuits targeting foul odors coming from the Jefferson Parish landfill.
According to our partners NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, there is now a total number of four lawsuits against the parish.
Officials have said they're taking steps to correct the disposal issues causing the foul smell.
The parish council will hold a special meeting Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. to discuss landfill issues.
