(WVUE) - Storms continue as we head into the start of the work week. We can expect more heavy down pours in isolated areas with more widespread coverage during the middle of the day through the early afternoon. We remain under a flash flood watch for parishes around the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain. There will be many dry breaks.
Rain tapers off a bit on Tuesday and rain chances go way down for Wednesday as a cold front will approach the area. There may still be some showers on Wednesday, but drier air will be building in during the day. The drier air may keep rain away all the way into next Friday.
